NMS Capital Group: Steering Strategic Investments in the Insurance Sector

NMS Capital Group and its Chairman and CEO, Trevor Saliba, have been instrumental in shaping significant developments within the insurance industry. Their strategic insights and investment acumen have been particularly evident in recent high-profile transactions involving Hub International and Aspen Insurance.

Recognition in the Private Equity Arena

Founded in 2010 by Trevor Saliba, NMS Capital Group has evolved from a family office-backed investment vehicle into a globally focused private equity firm. Specializing in sectors such as business services, infrastructure, insurance, real estate, and technology, NMS has consistently demonstrated its ability to identify and nurture high-potential opportunities. The firm’s prowess was recently acknowledged when it secured the 14th position on the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2024 list of top private equity firms, marking its seventh consecutive year on the list.

Hub International’s Strategic Investment Round

In May 2025, Hub International, a leading global insurance brokerage, announced a $1.6 billion minority equity investment led by T. Rowe Price Investment Management, Alpha Wave Global, and Temasek. This investment elevated Hub’s valuation to $29 billion, the highest enterprise value for a private insurance broker to date.

Trevor Saliba commented on the significance of this development, stating, “A $29 billion valuation in this environment tells you investors are betting on future consolidation and growth. It also puts Hub in a strong position if they decide to revisit public markets.

Aspen Insurance’s Return to Public Markets

Similarly, Aspen Insurance, under the ownership of Apollo Global Management, made a notable return to the New York Stock Exchange in May 2025. The company’s initial public offering raised approximately $397.5 million, with shares priced at $30 each, leading to a valuation of around $3.05 billion.

Saliba provided insights into the resilience of insurance companies amidst market uncertainties, stating, “While uncertainty is definitely in the air, insurance companies remain relatively insulated from broader macro swings. Insurance is a long game. The returns can be meaningful, but they require patience.”

Strategic Outlook

The involvement of NMS Capital Group and Trevor Saliba in these significant transactions underscores their influential role in the insurance sector’s evolution. By identifying and supporting strategic investments, they continue to shape the industry’s landscape, fostering growth and stability in a dynamic market environment.
