New Capacity Supports Growing Demand for Enterprise and Agentic AI
Nebius, the AI cloud company listed on Nasdaq under the ticker NBIS, has announced a major expansion of its UK operations through an investment of approximately £1.7 billion. The initiative includes three additional deployments built on NVIDIA infrastructure and further development of the company’s commercial and AI research hub in London.
The new facilities will complement Nebius’ initial UK deployment of NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra infrastructure, which entered service in late 2025. Once fully operational in 2027, the four sites are expected to provide a combined capacity of 65 MW. The systems will incorporate the latest generations of NVIDIA’s full-stack AI factory platform, enabling customers to train, test and deploy advanced artificial intelligence models at scale.
Expansion Aligns with UK AI Strategy
The investment supports the UK Government’s AI Opportunities Action Plan, which seeks to increase domestic computing resources and accelerate AI adoption across the economy. Additional capacity is expected to benefit enterprises, research institutions and public-sector organisations requiring access to high-performance infrastructure.
UK AI Minister Kanishka Narayan welcomed the announcement, noting that expanded domestic compute resources will help businesses develop and deploy advanced AI applications while supporting productivity improvements across multiple industries.
Enterprise Customers Already Operating at Scale
Several organisations are already using Nebius infrastructure for production workloads. Revolut, the London-based fintech group serving more than 75 million customers across 40 markets, has rebuilt its AI architecture on Nebius. The company relies on Nebius Token Factory to support financial crime detection agents and to manage AI-driven customer service systems handling more than one million support requests every month.
According to Pavel Nesterov, Executive Director of AI at Revolut, the platform provides the operational resilience and inference economics required by a regulated financial institution while enabling the company to scale AI services efficiently.
Meanwhile, Prima Mente, a company supported by the UK Sovereign AI Fund, is leveraging Nebius infrastructure to train biological foundation models focused on neurological diseases, including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Founder and Chief Executive Officer Ravi Solanki stated that expanded local computing capacity will allow the company to accelerate research programmes and increase the number of experiments undertaken.
Growing Ecosystem Around Agentic AI
Alongside infrastructure expansion, Nebius continues to enhance its AI cloud platform. Recent additions, including Tavily, Eigen AI and Clarifai, extend the platform’s search and inference capabilities for agentic AI applications. Furthermore, the launch of Nebius AI Cloud 3.5 introduced serverless AI functionality designed to support production workloads more efficiently.
These developments reinforce the company’s ambition to position itself as a preferred platform for enterprise AI deployments, particularly as demand for autonomous AI agents continues to increase.
Continued Investment in Talent and Research
Nebius is also increasing its presence in the UK through recruitment initiatives targeting engineering and AI research professionals. The London office serves as a regional hub for Europe, the Middle East and Africa while supporting global industry teams focused on healthcare, life sciences, financial services, retail and e-commerce.
In addition, Nebius Academy, the company’s educational and research division, is expanding partnerships with universities and research institutions. Through online and in-person programmes, the initiative aims to address the growing skills gap and develop the next generation of AI specialists.
Outlook
The latest investment underlines Nebius’ long-term commitment to the UK market and highlights the increasing importance of sovereign AI infrastructure across Europe. Supported by NVIDIA technology and a growing customer base, the company is strengthening its position in the rapidly expanding market for enterprise and agentic AI solutions. Nevertheless, the substantial capital commitments involved mean that execution, customer growth and broader market conditions will remain key factors influencing future performance.
